Single bifolium report from Vincenzo de' Medici to the grand-duke of Tuscany, Cosimo II de' Medici, reporting on his activities as depositario generale of the Medici mint for the years 1595-1609. The report, written in Florence in 1609, illustrates the management of the mint, the names of some of the officers who worked there; how Vincenzo's compensation was calculated, based on a percentage of the mint's revenues; and some of mint's activities, including money coinage and speculation through the purchase of grain in Emilia Romagna, northern Italy, to resell in Naples, where there was a shortage of wheat.
